Chiara Spiniello – Faculty SWING 2025

Chiara Spiniello (PhD in Public, Comparative and International Law) is a research fellow at the Internet and Communication Policy Center (ICPC) of the University of Salerno. In this context, she is involved in the project “Digital Sovereignty in comparative perspective: state authority, corporate power and fundamental rights in cyberspace”. In particular, she investigates the intersection between the concepts of digital constitutionalism and digital sovereignty withing an European perspective (EU and its Member States).

In 2021, she earned a French-Italian PhD at University of Rome, Sapienza, and University Droit & Santé, Lille.She was lecturer for Italian and foreign universities (LUISS Guido Carli University, Université du Luxembourg) and collaborator on different teachings (parliamentary law, comparative public law, constitutional law, among others). She has involved in several research groups and organizing committees.

Her main scientific publications focus on Italian, French and Canadian legal systems (especially referring to forms of Government, electoral systems, constitutional jurisprudence). Currently she is dealing with the topic of digital constitutionalism.
